Photo book: Information and tips about the new Pixum Photo Book software version 4.7.5
Recently we have made a new software to create your Pixum Photo Book available, version 4.7.5 - with great new features such as Photo Books with gloss paper and you can create up to 154 pages for your best images.
Before you install the new & improved Pixum Photo Book software, we recommend to deinstall the previously installed software (Pixum EasyBook, version 4.5.9).
To do so, please take following steps:
For WINDOWS user:
- Use the Windows Start menu to go to Control Panel.
- Use the option Add or Remove Programs & open the window showing all installed applications.
- Select the Pixum EasyBook software here and remove it by clicking on the "Remove" button.
If you have a short cut to the old Pixum EasyBook software in your start menu, you will also find the option to deinstall it there.
For MAC user:
- Go to the directory "Programs"
- Select the program "Pixum" or "Pixum EasyBook".
- Move this folder to Trash.
Now you can download the new Pixum Photo Book software on our Photo Book page and install it to your computer.
Don't worry:
Your saved photo book files (files ending with .mcf) remain on your computer, even when the software is no longer there.
You can open the saved files in the new software, edit and order as usual.
If you have already updated the software to the new version with the Update feature in the software and are experiencing problems with the new photo book software, please note the following:
By changing the software to a new name "Pixum Photo Book" the software short cuts for "Pixum EasyBook" no longer work.
Therefore please open the new software "Pixum Photo Book" by going to Start > All programs > Pixum Photo Book.
Possibly you created a desktop short cut to the new software "Pixum Photo Book", in this case you can open it from this short cut.
Old existing short cuts for "Pixum EasyBook" can now be removed.
