Protected area

You are free to place the logo on a surface in various ways but it is important that you maintain the protected area.

This protected area is the minimum distance that you have to keep between the Pixum logo and other elements (e.g. other logos, graphics, the border of a page etc.). The diameter of the Pixum sun "W" is used to calculate the protected area which is 0,25 W from the outer edges of the logo.

Those imaginary lines protect the effect of the logo from any potential impairment.

Minimal size

The size of the logo depends on the area where it is used. However, it is important to keep the proportion of the logo whenever it is adapted. You have to use its original condition meaning you are neither allowed to space it, nor to compress or to stretch it.

It is essential that you always observe the minimum width of 18 mm (printed use) and 80 px (web use) in order to ensure that the logo can be read clearly.

Our standard logo

We prefer the Pixum logo to be used with a blue sun, grey writing and an orange dot on the "i" as a standard.

In principle, we would like you to favour the standard logo over variations!

You can place the Pixum standard logo on coloured surfaces and pictures but you have to make sure its legibility is not impaired. We prefer the Pixum logo to be used in its standard form against a white background. This way, the company is reflected best and a high recognition factor can be achieved.

Please note that the logo always needs to stand out against its background in an appropriate way. Therefore please keep to our guidelines for shades.

You are allowed to use the Pixum standard logo in the following ways:

You can place the Pixum logo on coloured surfaces in shades of grey, black, cyan and orange.

Grey

CMYK: C 0 | M 0 | Y 0 | K 50

Guideline: 7 - 30%

Black

CMYK: C 0 | M 0 | Y 0 | K 100

Guideline: 90 - 100%

Cyan

CMYK: C 100 | M 0 | Y 0 | K 0

Orange

CMYK: C 0 | M 75 | Y 100 | K 0

Guideline: 7 - 30%

White logo

You can use this variation of the logo on coloured surfaces which have to comply with the colours of the company.

This means, you can place the white Pixum logo on surfaces that are coloured in one of the Pixum logo colours cyan, orange and grey or shades of 60 - 100 % of those colours.

Please always use surfaces of 100% in preference to its shades.

Use of the logo

You always have to place the logo in favour of its legibility and ensure that it fits the overall tonality!

You have to use its original condition which means, in principle, you are not allowed to alter the logo - neither by spacing nor by compressing or stretching. Moreover you are not allowed to alter any distances but you have to maintain the protected area. You are not allowed to form a shady background for the logo or to draw a frame around it.

In principle, it is NOT permitted to alter the Pixum logo in any way.

Pixum strongly forbids all shades of background colours that worsen the legibility of the standard logo.

Furthermore, Pixum prohibits all combinations of the logo that cause parts of the logo to vanish or rather that affect its legibility significantly.

It is not permitted to use combinations of colours or variations of the logo that affect the corporate communication in a negative way. Just as little is it permitted to place the logo on surfaces whose colour is not related to the company but only on surfaces in the Pixum (logo) colours.
