We are excited to announce that this year all our chocolate Advent calendars and the Photo Advent Calendar to fill yourself have a sustainable interior made from 100% biodegradable materials. The medium-sized Photo Advent Calendar with chocolate from kinder® has a paper-based interior. For the inner packaging of our other Advent calendars, a natural paper injection mold made from 70% starch derived from German potatoes is used. Unfortunately, the protective film and chocolate wrappers are still made of plastic, but we are working hard to make them more sustainable in the future.
The chocolate in our new Photo Advent Calendar with Tony's Chocolonely is Fairtrade certified. The paper-based interior and chocolate packaging can be disposed of in the paper recycling. It's that easy to be sustainable!
