Orders & Delivery: What does the digital photo optimisation (DPO) do?
In the shopping basket you will find the option "Digital Photo Optimisation (DPO)".
The DPO is standard activated. This option optimises your image files to the used lighting machine. Colours, contrast and the sharpness are improved during printing.
Viewing your photos on a monitor can only offer a certain view of the final result as printed product, since the DPO and the physical processes and qualities - not just from the digital photo - are taken into consideration for the aperture priority.
Therefore please note:
This setting is ideal if your photos directly come from a digital camera and have not been edited.
With scanned photos or photos edited with an image-enhancement-software (sharpened, adapted colours, contrast changes, etc.) an additional optimisation is normally not required and can actually have a negative effect.
For these types of orders we therefore advise you to turn off the digital photo optimisation (DPO) in the shopping basket.
If the box is checked, the Digital Photo Optimisation is activated for your order; if the box is empty it is deactivated.
The option for Digital Photo Optimisation always concerns your entire order. Unfortunately it is currently not possible to activate/deactivate the Digital Photo Optimisation for single products.
