How can I create a new album?

If you upload photos to your Pixum account, they are automatically stored in your Inbox. Now you simply have to select the photos you want to place in your album and press the button „Into an album“.

You can then choose between placing your photos into an existing album or first creating a new one.

In order to distinguish several albums from each other, you can give them a name and add descriptive information.

Example: Album name: Holiday 2012

Description: Spending some lovely days with the whole family at our favourite destination.

You can also add descriptive texts or comments to your photos (e.g. „Lisa and Max in front of the Akropolis“). Simply open the detailed view of your photo (by clicking on the magnifier at the lower left corner of your photo).

Who can view my albums?

You can decide who can view and order your album photos by selecting the status for each album as:

Private: Only you can view and order your album photos.
Public: Everyone can view your album photos. You can use the option "Send invitation" to invite friends or to publicise the link to your albums in a social network as Twitter, Facebook or Google+.
Public with password: Only persons who got the password for this album from you can view your photos. Special advantage of this status: Your family and friends can also order your album photos!

Can I rotate my photos in an album?

If you want to rotate photos that you placed into an album, you simply need to click on the magnifier (at the lower left corner of the respective photo) and press the button „rotate“ in the detailed view of your photo.

Can I arrange my photos within an album?

You can arrange your photos in an album according to the file name, the date it was uploaded to your inbox or the date it was added to the album (both rising or descending).

Where can I do that? If you open the detailed view of an album, simply click on the tab „Arrange photos according to“ at the upper right corner and select one of the characteristics.

How can I delete photos?

Simply select the photos (in your inbox or in an album) you want to delete and press the button „delete“. The photos will be stored for 7 more days in the trash so you can place them back into your album if you want.

If you do not want or need your photos to be stored you can go to the trash, select your photos and press the button „delete“.

How can I add photos to an album later?

There are two ways to add photos to an album later:

a) Either directly add them to an album by using the orange button „Upload photos“.

b) Upload photos to your inbox and place them into an album.

Can I download my photos from an album?

In general neither you nor your family and friends with an invitation can download photos from your Pixum online photo albums because our website works with miniaturized versions of your photos to shorten the time you need to wait until they are uploaded and you can view them. But of course, you can order your pictures as photo prints and products (e.g. calendars, mugs, Big Prints) at any time and any place.

Can I create several albums

There is no limit to the variety of your albums, enabling you to create as many albums as you like and to choose individual names, descriptions and settings for each (e.g. status, order of photos).

If you open the detailed view of an album, you can see a miniaturized version of your other albums and albums that your friends shared with you at the left.

How can I delete an album?

Go to the overview of your online photo albums, choose the album you want to delete and press the button „delete albums“.

The photos in the album will be stored for 7 more days in the trash. If you do not want or need your photos to be stored you can go to the trash, select your photos and click on „delete“.
