Albums: How can I change the status of an album?

  • Click on "My Pixum" in the upper navigation bar and then on "My albums".
  • Click on the album of which you want to see the status. You will be directed to the Album Overview.
  • Click on "Change album status" on the left".
  • Now select a status and confirm the change by clicking on the button "Change status".
  • Go with the mouse over the questionmark symbols to see the explanation about each status.

What functions does the album status have?

Status Private

With the status "Private" you are the only one who can view, edit, delete or order the photos. No one else can access these photos. Important: NEVER give your access information for your Pixum account to thirds!

Status Public

With the status "Public" the album and all of its photos become public under the URL www.pixum.com/members/username. Any user can view the photos. The albums and photos are shown in the "Pixum Photo Community". You can send a direct link to this album to your friends and family. For this use the function "Send invitation" or copy the link to the album in your own email. Due to legal reasons third parties are not allowed to order these photos. For this you need to use the status "Public with password".

Status Public with password

With the status "Public with password" the album is shown under the URL www.pixum.com/members/username, only persons who received the password can access these photos. You can send the link to this album together with the password directly to your friends and family. For this please use the button "Send invitation" or copy the album link and the password in your own email. Important: Anybody who has the passowrd can order photos. By setting this album status you explicitly confirm that no personal rights of thirds in public photos are violated.
